Night Out - Page 3: Eating His Words

Chris drags Ine and Dil to a dance, and Dil is not excited.

He'd rather be eating funeral potatoes.

Ine, Chris, and Dil are standing in a large room full of other students of various species, including a fox, horse, zebra, parakeet, snake, and wolf, all dancing to music played by a a bull at a DJ table. Dil looks grumpy as he says, "The only feral here. What surprise." Chris glares at him and says, "Oh, quit playing the victim and ask a girl to dance already!"

We see a closeup of Dil who angrily throws his paws in the air and says, "Oh sure. I'll ask ten if you like. I can already tell you how that's going to go down."

He gestures to the side and says, "One look, and it's 'sorry, I'm with someone,' or 'I was just leaving,' or--" Then he's interrupted by a voice from off panel that says, "Excuse me..."

Dil looks behind him in surprise to see a gazelle in a wheelchair smiling at him and saying, "Would you like to dance?"

Dil glances around, as if looking for someone.

Then Dil sits up straight, looking shocked and says, "M-me?" Chris smiles and says, "He'll dance, just as soon as he's done eating his words," as the girl smiles back.
